Terms and Conditions Amsterdam Language Experience

General terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided directly or indirectly (through distributors) by Amsterdam Language Experience. When purchasing any services from Amsterdam Language Experience you accept the terms and conditions stated in this document. 

This document is subject to revisions. Amsterdam Language Experience can change these terms and conditions at any given moment. The most current version will be dated and available at this page.

As Amsterdam Language Experience offers products and services from multiple secondary providers, some additional terms and conditions may apply. If specific additional terms and conditions apply, these have to be stated in the fine print of the product page. If other terms or conditions apply, the terms and conditions listed in the fine print of the product page will prevail in the event of a conflict.

 

Fees and payments

All fees and prices listed on our website are including VAT and are subject to change of such taxes. 

Additional city and/or tourist taxes may apply to accommodation fees and are subject to change. 

City and/or tourist taxes are not included in the prices listed on the website. These taxes depend on the accommodation location and accommodation fee, and will therefore be specific for each accommodation. The additional city and/or tourist taxes are listed in the fine print of each product page. City and/or tourist taxes must be paid separately at the accommodation location.  

Amsterdam Language Experience is not responsible for charging the customer for city and/or tourist taxes. Nor is Amsterdam Language Experience responsible for changes or uncertainties of these taxes. 

Our fees and prices are subject to change. The prices listed on the website are the current and correct prices. No rights can be derived from previous prices which are not listed on the website anymore. 

Payment will be made through the secure third party online payment gateway “STRIPE”. All payments made are governed solely by STIPE’s terms of service and privacy policy. 

 

Booking process and payment

Services provided by Amsterdam Language Experience are subject to availability. When purchasing or booking a service, the request will be sent to the course and/or the accommodation providers. The course and/or accommodation provider may accept or deny a request based on availability or commercial reasons. If a request is not accepted, we will evaluate the situation and try to find a substitute option for you. You will receive notice of this within 5 business days. If your request is denied, you may choose a substitute option (additional cost may apply) or choose to be refunded. 

After booking a course, a level check will be administered. Without completing the level check, the student cannot be officially registered to a course suitable for their level and therefore cannot attend any classes. 

If the level check indicates that the chosen course is not suitable for the student, the student might not be accepted to join the course. In this case, a more suitable course will be offered. The substitute course might differ in start date, duration, timetable, and/or course price. The student may choose to take the substitute offer or request a refund.

Refunds will be made within 10 business days.

If your request is accepted you will receive the booking confirmation and additional information about your course and/or accommodation within 5 business days. 

 

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellations must be dated and be made in writing to study@amsterdamlanguage.com. No rights can be derived from oral cancellations. 

Cancellations up to 14 (fourteen) days before the course start date and/or check-in date of the accommodation (whichever applies or whichever comes first) are entitled to a full refund of the course and/or accommodation fee. 

Cancellations less than 14 (fourteen) days before the course start date and/or check-in date of the accommodation (whichever applies or whichever comes first) are entitled to a refund of 90% of the course and/or accommodation fee. 

Cancellations made within 8 days before the course start date and/or check-in date of the accommodation (whichever applies or whichever comes first) cannot be refunded. 

Registration fees are not refundable.

Refunds will be made within 10 business days.
